Lindsay Lohan charmed audiences across the world landing her first movie audition and first major role for at only the age of 11. It was for The Parent Trap remake where Lindsay took on both roles of the twin daughters to rave reviews.

She went on to have a successful career starring in multiple hit movies, guest roles in hit sitcoms, and becoming a red carpet and audience favorite.

The world watched the talented Lohan grow into a stunning young woman living the Hollywood dream and making her name known across the world.

The world also had the chance to see the darker side of her fame.

As well as dealing with real life struggles including relationship heartaches, family drama, and addiction.

With the recent release of The New York Times Presents: Framing Britney Spears and the #FreeBritney movement, social media users began researching past TV clips where the media showed little compassion for personal struggles.

Lohan has had her share of failures, with legal problems and a rap sheet that includes arrests for DUI, cocaine possession, and an a jail term although it only lasted 84-minutes.

Twitter users became divided on the original intent of Letterman. Some say it was manipulative while others say it was his trademark dry humor.
